Mrs. Christen is pursuing a degree in psychology to deepen her impact in the classroom. She is dedicated to creating meaningful, personalized learning experiences for each student she serves.

Rebecca Porter
Primary School Teacher
Mrs. Porter earned a bachelor’s degree and licensure from the University of Wisconsin. Prior to joining ALCA, she taught in a Fort Wayne public school. She is driven by her passion for shaping students’ futures and for Christian education.

Jerica Lock
Grammar School Teacher
Ms. Lock holds a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is passionate about educating children and helping them to grow into complete, well-rounded individuals.

Deborah Selby
Grammar School Teacher
Ms. Selby holds a teaching degree from Purdue Fort Wayne, and is licensed by the State of Indiana. She has many years of teaching experience in many formats, including in the classroom, and in giving her own children a classical education. She is passionate about bringing rigorous classical education to children in Fort Wayne.

Michael Baldridge

Mr. Baldridge holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. He is dedicated to ensuring that ALCA students are well-grounded educationally and spiritually.

Joshua Christen
Upper School Instructor
Mr. Christen holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University Fort Wayne. He is eager to teach at ALCA, where the classical education approach aligns perfectly with his passion for fostering a love of learning in students.

Ethan Hanscom
Lower & Upper School Instructor
Mr. Hanscom holds a bachelor’s degree in Christian Leadership from Indiana Bible College. He is passionate about investing in students and helping shape a strong foundation for their future, both academically and spiritually.

Rebecca Doehrman
Upper School Instructor
Mrs. Doehrman holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University West Lafayette. She is passionate about helping students reach their full potential academically and personally. She is excited to contribute to a school community that prioritizes strong educational and spiritual foundations.

Ivan Trejo
Upper School Adjunct Instructor
Mr. Trejo serves as the Worship Pastor at Abundant Life Church, and teaaches Music and Spanish in the Upper School. He is passionate about teaching young people to express worship through music and to explore cultures different than their own.

Ashly Deleon
Upper School Adjunct Instructor
Ms. Deleon has a master's degree in Athletic Training from Manchester University. She is passionate about helping students to understand the human body and encouraging them to grow academically and personally in a setting with strong educational and spiritual foundations.

Phil Lock
Upper School Adjunct Instructor
Mr. Lock holds a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision from Purdue University Fort Wayne. After twenty-five years in corporate accounting and finance, Mr. Lock joined the staff of Abundant Life and ALCA. He is passionate about fostering a culture of academic growth and personal integrity to the next generation.

Chase Engquist
Financial Administrator
Mr. Engquist brings over ten years of comprehensive experience in corporate accounting, finance, and administrative leadership. He also serves as the Ministries & Executive Administrator for Abundant Life Church. He is proud to support ALCA’s mission and remains dedicated to driving operational excellence in service of the students and families that ALCA serves.

Jonathan Bellairs
Principal
Mr. Bellairs earned a master’s degree in medieval literature at the University of California, Los Angeles. Before joining ALCA, he taught at the university and high school levels. He is passionate about bringing Christian education of the highest excellence to Fort Wayne through ALCA.

Richard Brown
Superintendent
Pastor Brown earned a degree from Union University and spent time teaching Middle School English before transitioning to his career in ministry. This helped inspire his vision for bringing biblically-founded education with excellence to our community. He serves as the Pastor of Abundant Life Church as well as the Superintendent of ALCA.
